Karen L. Boyles The world lost a true gift from God after a very courageous battle against pancreatic cancer on November 5, 2012. Karen Lynn Boyles, at the age of 61, was reunited with her parents - William and Evelyn, her son Jereme and her grandson Ryan when she passed peacefully with family. Karen was an angel among us, working as a registered nurse for the last 40 years. She was a graduate from the St. Joseph School of Nursing in June 1973 and married the same month. She worked with the Cardiac Health Specialists in Tacoma for close to 30 years before leaving in 2000 to care for her mother. She rejoined the workforce in 2002 when she joined Gentiva as a Home Health nurse. Her last five years were spent with State Farm Insurance as an Occupational Health Nurse in Dupont. She is survived by her husband Donald; daughter Erin (Patrick) Sherman; brother William (Lynn) Kelley; brother Ron (Theresa) Kelley; grandchildren Emily and Jordynn Shearer; Ethan and Owen Sherman; and many nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends. Please join us for an informal celebration of Karen's life on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the DuPont Community Center (303 Barksdale Ave, DuPont). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the family at her memorial or to the Franciscan Hospice House in University Place in her remembrance. Cards of condolence can be mailed to 1321 Griggs St, DuPont, WA 98327. Karen loved life; she loved every person she met and had an amazing faith about her. She had such a way with people that they were better for knowing her and her spirit will live on forever in them.
