Shannon Lynn Cheek Beautiful daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend, peacefully journeyed to heaven on August 28th to be with her beloved mother Susan and brother Dillon. Shannon was a friend to all; well known for her gentle compassion, graceful leadership, and love of life, she touched everyone around her. Shannon's incredible strength, courage, faith, and selfless actions continue to inspire innumerable people. Shannon was born in Tacoma on December 17, 1996 and raised in Puyallup, where she attended Rogers High School. Shannon was active in sports, including softball, volleyball, and cross country, girl scouts, her church youth group, and she loved helping others through community service. She was a regular participant in Puyallup's Relay for Life. Shannon loved hiking and camping and was an avid explorer. She greatly enjoyed the performing arts and time spent with family and friends. While Shannon will be greatly missed, her life changing impact on others will shine on. Shannon is survived by her father Paul and sister Kaitlyn of Puyallup, her grandparents Edward and Ena Robins of Mukilteo, Barbara Cheek of Puyallup, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Susan in 2008, grandfather Lee Cheek in 2006, and brother Dillon in 2002. Friends and community are invited to join Shannon's family in celebration of her life at 2:00PM Saturday, September 7, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Puyallup.
