SIDNEY PERSING Obituary

Sidney Thomas Persing Sidney Thomas Persing was born Feb. 27, 1930 in Shamokin, PA, to John & Grace Persing, and passed away Feb. 3, 2011 at the age of 80. He graduated Ralpho Township High School in 1947 in Shamokin, PA, and married Soon Hi in 1973. Sidney retired from the U.S. Post Office and the USAF as a Master Sergeant. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Soon Hi Persing; sister, Nancy Parks; daughter, Susan (Larry) Tokarcik; son, John (Linda) Persing; daughter, Sharon Christie; son, Samuel (Hallen) Storey; 7 grandchildren, and 3 nephews. A viewing will be at New Tacoma Funeral Home on Monday, February 7, 2011 from 3pm - 5pm. Funeral services are scheduled for 12pm Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in the Evergreen Chapel at New Tacoma Cemetery.
