MEAGHAN BATTOCCHIO Obituary

Meaghan Beatrice Battocchio Meaghan, our Joy was taken from us on Sunday morning January 23. We can hardly believe she has left us so suddenly; Meaghan was planning her future and just beginning her young adult life. She was a ray of sunshine to all who had the chance to know her. Meaghan's short life of twenty one years was packed with Joy, Love and Hugs. Her close knit family was the center and love of her life. She extended that same affection in her friendships. Our life will be forever changed without her bubbly presence bursting into our days. Meaghan loved music and attending shows and concerts. Her favorite thing to do was just to hang out with her friends and family. Meaghan leaves behind a large extended family which includes her father, Eugene Battocchio (Tasha), mother Julie Houghton Jacobs, (Jeff), loving brother Erik Battocchio, grandparents Prisco and Ernestina Battocchio, and grandmother Hazel Houghton. Also grieving her loss are her beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins, her loving boyfriend Mike Spoor and her extended family of friends. Viewing will take place January 29, 2011 from 10:00am till 12:00noon at Curnow Funeral home, 1410 Main Street, Sumner, followed by Memorial at 12:30pm at Sumner Methodist Church, 901 Wood Ave, Sumner, Arrangements provided by Curnow Funeral Home~ www.curnowfuneralhome.com

Gene & Tasha - Words cannot express the heartfelt sympathy I am feeling for both of you. I remember Meaghan very fondly - hanging with dad (and Tosh) on the weekends, just chillin'. I know your children meant the world to you Geno and I'm very sad to hear that Meaghan was taken from you way too soon. God Bless - my thoughts and prayers are with you always.

I worked with Geno many years ago. One thing I will always remember his strong tie to family and how much those relationships ment to him. I find comfort in the good times spent with passed loved ones and hope that you will too. I am sure this is a tough time for all of you and would like you to know my thoughts are with all of you in this difficult time.

I was Meaghan's second grade teacher. I still remember her bubbly, happy face and the joy she brought to our class every single day. I am so, so sorry for the loss of this wonderful girl.

I can't express my sympathy enough. While I didn't know your daughter I worked with and was a friend of Geno's. I know he loved his family. May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
