Tammy, I was very happy to finally meet you. My husband Randy, was Mike's best friend. While I was pregnant with my four year old daughter, Bobbi, I used to let Mike draw a big smiley face on my belly, he thought it was the funniest thing ever. my daughter Bobbi, idolized Mike. He would stand on a chair, then she would stand on a chair. Mike left a permanent marker on the table one day, then my daughter found it and 'decorated' the walls! They both blamed Randy for the marker on the wall. When I think about Mike, I can see him smiling and imitating other people and making us laugh for hours. I will especially miss his wonderful sense of humor & how he tried to turn a bad situation into something humorous.
Love, Randy, Nicki, Bobbi Garretson

Dearest Tammy,
We were very happy to finally get to meet you (at Saint Joseph Medical Center) and enjoyed your company during lunch that day. Mike was my husband Randy's best friend. If there is anything you need or someone to talk to, I am here to listen. Everytime I think about Mike, I can see him smiling and doing great impressions of other people and making us laugh for hours on end. He was a good man.
Love, Randy & Nicki & Bobbi Garretson

Finding any words hollow... Mike I'll miss you here on earth, I will let the hope that we will get together again here on earth go, and look forward to when we meet in heaven. We'll throw the baseball again, and never strike out when we get to the plate. God blessed me with a cousin my age to share life's experiences with, even though our time together was far and few in between, it was certainly quality time.
May God comfort Aunt Arlene, Uncle Larry, Tammy, and the rest of the family that is experiencing this tremendous loss.

Dear Larry, Arlene, Tammy and Russ,

It seems impossible that Mike is gone. I know your hearts are heavy with sadness and grief. I hope it helps to know that others share in your loss.

I will miss the conversations Mike and I recently had. I loved his humor and his honesty. Those qualities hadn’t changed since he was young. Those conversations were good medicine for both of us. I’m so thankful we had that time.

I send you my love, and prayers, that you may know peace and comfort during the difficult days ahead.
