TONI GORDON Obituary

Toni Lee Gordon Was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on July 2, 1949, and died peacefully at home on February 15, 2011, at the age of 61. Toni went to Heaven to join her father Logan Dane Poppino, step-father Charles Curtis Patton, mother Gussie Mae Patton, and brother Fred Logan Patton. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, David L. Gordon, sons Scott M. Gordon and Timothy M. Gordon, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. She energetically fought cancer for 11-1/2 years, smiling the whole time, praising God, and telling everyone around her about Him until the very end. Her constant glow and humble graciousness made her instant friends wherever she went. She will be greatly missed by all, including her co-workers at and the children in the Puyallup School District. Donations in her name may be made to the "Susan G. Komen for the cure" breast cancer foundation. Viewing will be on Tuesday, February 22nd from 4-8 pm at the Curnow Funeral Home in Sumner. The burial will be at the Woodbine Cemetery in Puyallup on Wednesday, February 23rd, at 3pm. The memorial service will be held Sunday, February 27th at 3pm at Bethany Baptist Church in Puyallup, 713 South Hill Park Drive. (253) 848-3556

Dear Toni,
"Wow" is all I can say about your memorial. You are so loved and missed. I felt your presence with us that day. I knew you were there, looking down upon us all.
The years have passed by so quickly. I remember when me met in 1970 and became instant friends. Good times were had at your home on Bonney Ave. and mine in Milton. We had some wild and crazy times...remember the double dates??
You were my beautiful Maid of Honor back in 1972. You always had that beautiful radiant smile, with hugs to match!
Through the years you never changed.
Your Beloved Husband, David, sons Scott and Tim, will always be in my prayers. You had an "awesome" family.
Til we meet again Toni,
Love and miss you, Judy

Toni was the strongest most positive person I know. The staff and students at her different schools will miss her smile and laugh. I know I will.

Condolences to Toni's husband and sons. I first met Toni when she was one of the playground duties at Mt. View Elementary where she was loved by the students and staff. Later when she worked at Woodland in the health room, she would come to work and tell of good times she had with her family going to see the train in Elbe. Toni was one of the kindest and sweetest ladies I know.
