Aasmund Rasmussen Obituary


Aasmund Rasmussen Aasmund Rasmussen, born Jan. 31, 1923 in Bergen, Norway, went to be with his Lord and Savior April 26, 2011 in Tacoma. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1949 and was very proud of his dual citizenship. He was a clergyman with the Assembly of God churches, serving the Lord for over 45 years. He was a carpenter who made furniture, loved to travel, and loved to attend his grandsons' activities and their sporting events. Aasmund is survived by his wife Beverly S. Rasmussen, sons Dave (Sandy) Rasmussen and Donald Rasmussen, daughters Darlene (Daniel) Mohn, Doreen (Mark) Finley, and Dotty Rasmussen, sister Magdalene Frantzen, 12 grandsons, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 11 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years, Marion Rasmussen, in 1999. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Abundant Life Fellowship, 5917 S. Thompson Ave., Tacoma, 98408, with graveside services following at Mountain View Memorial Park, Lakewood. Please sign on-line guestbook www.tuellmckee.com. We are very sorry to hear about Ozzie. We have been his neighbor for several years and are going to miss all his wonderful stories. We have 2 beautiful ceder chests that was made by this wonderful man, that we hold very dear to our hearts..Rest in peace Ozzie..you are in no pain any more.. All our Love..The Tribble's
