Iris I. Julian

Iris I. Julian Iris I. Julian, born to Richard and Edna Nelms in Tacoma, WA on April 15, 1925, passed away in Tacoma on April 19, 2011. Iris was a lifelong Tacoma resident. Iris met and fell in love with her paper boy, Felix Julian Jr., in 1942. Iris married Felix in September of 1945 and they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary prior to Felix's passing in 2009. Asked what attracted her to Felix, she would say, 'he liked to talk and I knew I would never have to worry about holding up my end of a conversation'. Iris was a homemaker and was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church. She took great pride in taking care of her family, home and garden. She is survived by her daughters Pat Klarich, Jenny (Steve) Storaasli, and Mary (Gary) Snarski, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Edith and Georgia, and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Felix in 2009. The family would like to thank the staff at Wynwood at Allenmore for the care they gave Felix and Iris since 2007.
