Dear Roly and family; My prayers go to you for your lose. During Grad school, Nils and I became very close. She was always encouraging and a host of knowledge. I enjoyed being her friend. She had a spirit that was rare and contagious. I will miss her smile, laughter and wisdom.

Kristina and family, Dan and I are so sorry for your loss. Although we didn't know your mother, we know that she must have been a wonderful person to have raised such a lovely daughter.

My son and daughter were students at Saltar's Point when Nilsa first became principal. I remember the day they came home with expressions of disbelief, telling me that the principal was buying ice cream for every student who could spell her name. The next year I got to experience her generosity firsthand when I became a staff member at Saltar's. She routinely spoiled us with Panera bagels, goodie bags, and excellent parties. What a Lady!!!

I am so thankful I was given the opportunity to have known her! I remember my 6th grade year, I was always called up to her office not always for the good and i would be terrified. Eventually over time her and I became friends. Every lunch I would look forward to playing Uno and she definately was "Uno Queen".In middle school she was the one I could count on to make my day better. I was worried when she was getting a teaching job at Hillside because I was so scared that i was never gonna get to see her again. And she reassured me that everything was gonna be okay and it was. She truly was a huge blessing in my life and I am forever grateful. She always looked for the good in people and she was so proud of her family. She truly was amazing! You will definately be in my prayers. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Roly, Nina, Christina and extended family,
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives and for sharing Nilsa with me. She was such a great boss, mentor and most of all friend. I will forever cherish all our moments of complete laughter, american idol parties, fourth of July celebrations, picking berries and the quiet times I shared with Nilsa. She was so proud of her family and her love for all of you was always her first priority. I know that you will have a big hole in your family due to her passing, but I know that in time your memories will begin to fill the hole that has been left behind.
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
God bless you all, In Deepest Sympathy, Sonia Miller.

I worked with Nilsa at Clover Park High School. In fact, she hired me. She was the nicest, most generous person I knew. My deepest sympathy. May she rest in peace.
