Donald Colclough Obituary

Donald G. Colclough Donald G. Colclough, 78, passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 10, 2011 in Gig Harbor, WA. He was born Sept 27, 1932 to Glenn and Eulie Colclough in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving companion of nearly 30 years, Pauline L'Abbe-Jones, and his three children, Robert (Lilo) Colclough (of Germany), Diane Colclough (Don Whisner) of Tacoma, and Glenn (Yoshi) Colclough of Bozeman, MT. He is also survived by his first wife, Theresa Lilley of Tacoma, and grandson Andrew Colclough of Pullman. He was a highly respected Aerospace Engineer for over 40 years, primarily in Washington, also in California and Utah. The bulk of his career was spent at Heath Techna in Kent and Bellingham. He was an enthusiastic outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. His lovable charm was expressed by a dry humor and a sharp mind. Honesty and integrity defined his very being. The family offers special thanks to the staff at Merrill Gardens Gig Harbor, especially Stephanie, Cassie, and Emily. Also thanks to the caring and competent staff of St. Anthony's Hospital and the Gig Harbor Fire Department and Manor Care of Gig Harbor. There will be respectful celebrations of his life at the Merrill Gardens in Gig Harbor at 3:30pm on Thursday, April 14, 2011 and in Bellingham at El Gitano Restaurant at 4:00pm on Friday April 15.
