My parents first met Al and Eudora in 1942 as neighbors in a Tacoma apartment building. They remained friends through the years exchanging many visits and travels together. More recently Eudora was a delightful guest at holiday meals with my family where she regaled us with stories of her life and especially memories of my departed parents. And, she always had a healthy appetite (but always a petite person) and after cleaning her plate has been known to quietly say, "I could have one more small piece of pie". She was an elegant lady who will be missed by many.

I have been Eudora's CPA for over 15 years. Over that time, I looked forward to meeting with Eudora to get her return prepared. For many of the early years she would come to my office and she always came very prepared. Some years ago, she was concerned about our meetings since she was no longer driving. I told her that she had always come to me and now I would come to her. So for each of those later years, I'd make my appointments through the reception desk and visit Eudora in her apartment. I always enjoyed those visits with Eudora. She was a unique and lovely person. My belated apologies to her neighbors as I had to raise my voice for her to hear me. She was one of my favorites.
