Lillian Cereghino Obituary

Lillian (Feathers) Goodwin Cereghino Lillian (Feathers) Goodwin Cereghino, daughter of Ervin Crawford and Lillian Goodwin, was born May 30, 1927 in Seattle and left us on June 2, 2011 after her long and stoic battle with cancer. She graduated from Garfield High School and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in 1950. She was passionate about being a mother and wife. She was devoted to her family, friends and her beloved Huskies! She was an avid golfer, loved to travel, and was an exquisite cook. She spent much of her time volunteering for charities and civic events. She leaves behind her daughters Lillian Cereghino of San Diego and Carolyn Cereghino of Tacoma, a sister, Gwendolyn White and her husband Peter, brother-in-law Peter Cereghino and his wife Pricilla, and many beloved family members. Preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Cereghino (June 19, 2004). She will be missed and loved; always in our hearts and forever in our memories (143). A special thank you to friends, family and Quality Sitters for your love, support and care. Lillian and Carolyn,
I wasn't finished with my note, and somehow I hit send. Hard to believe, right? Besides being grateful that your mom was able to spend time with us at home, I am glad for you, Lillian, that she was also able to be a part of our TV family.

Dear Lillian,

There is a lonesomeness after the death of one's mother, but I want you to know, that your friends are thinking of you and sympathizing with you in this time of your great loss.

I will never forget meeting Feathers over the phone and talking as if we knew each other all our lives. I can see why she was loved by all who knew her.

May her soul rest in peace and her memory be eternal.

Love,
Renée

Feathers was a mother and devoted friend to all of us who grew up with her daughters in Tacoma. Her home and heart were opened to us all and my life has been enriched greatly by the times I spent with her up until the end. She fought a great fight and will always be a part of me.
