We always try to get a seat in front next to Penny and Paul at 5:30 mass--it's a special spot, expecially for our son Maximilian. Then he gets to sit next to Penny. Penny had a way of making my little boy, Maximilian, (8 years) feel so important. He told me she would whisper to him that he was a good boy. We had a nice visit a few weeks ago and she talked to us about her adventures as a nurse and being married to Paul, a Lawyer for the Air Force.....She was so proud of her son and spoke highly of her grandsons. She was happy they were able to celebrate her 91st birthday together - her request was that they went to church with her and that pleased her a lot. Paul and family, we share in your sorrow. Penny certainly was a blessing on this earth to many and we thank God she was a part of our life. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family, and we will keep you in our hearts and prayers. It has been my pleasure to know Penny and Paul through St. Patrick Church. They were very faithful attendees at our Senior Citizen First Friday gatherings; Penny took our blood pressure readings for years, as well as contributing many delicious desserts. May she rest in peace! Joan Doherty
