1928 - 2017

Norman Lee Conser Norman Conser, 88, of Tacoma, WA, passed away January 2, 2017. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 6, 2017, at New Tacoma Cemetery. Norm was born December 25, 1928 in Portland, OR. He graduated from Benson Polytechnic High School and joined the electrical apprenticeship program. About this time, Norm met and fell in love with his soon-to-be bride, Zeta, and they were married in 1947. Norm worked in the construction industry for many years, working on job sites from Oregon, Nevada, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Washington, and many places in between. He worked for several electrical contractors in the Tacoma-Seattle area for over 45 years, retiring from Madsen Electric in 1993. Norm and Zeta enjoyed spending time with family and their many friends after retirement. He built himself a shop and spent countless hours working on projects that he did not have time for while working. He often talked about the cruises they had taken to Mexico and Alaska. Norm is survived by his daughter Jean (Dan), three grandsons, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother, and his wife, Zeta. He will be missed by his family and friends.
