I just found out today about Dick. We have missed him here in Mazatlan the last several years. We sure did have some great times...lots of good memories. My sincere condolences to Pamela and the rest of the family.

You always had that smile which told the world you were ready for a party. I remember first meeting you in 'bout '71 and thinking that I was in the company of Lee Marvin. My sincere condolences to Pam and your family, we're all going to miss you.

Bud an I have had many great laughs, parties, and just amazing times! You will be missed very much! The wonderful summer evenings we all had at your home, will always be memorable. Take care good buddy.

Pam, and all the Gappa family. Dick was always nice and friendly and gracious to Diana ["Spots"] and me. Dick seemed to add a nick-name to many of his friends Many people still talk about how great he tended bar at our wedding 45 years ago in Yakima.
Many of us know that Dick had one of his favorite "party" days of the year [ That he first organized when he was at WSU.] The "8" of May and it's ironic Dick's last day on this earth was May 8 Many will ask why that day and we'll celebrate it for him on Saturday. Dick,with a warm hug, Diana and Rick Anderson.

You where always there for me. I sooooo loved hearing of all your adventure's around the world. You are the BEST brother a little sister could of asked for. I'm proud that you are my brother. My wife and I were blessed with a visit from Dick a few weeks before he passed and cant begin to express how precious that time was with him. A very great man.... Loving and caring and funny as anyone we have ever known. Our 4th of Julys and Thanksgivings will never be the same. Love ya old buddy, rest in peace till we come to join ya ;-)
