I guess I'm not too tech savy, this is my third try. Hope it's the charm. Aunt Aggie lived next foo to me from the time I was born till I was in 8th grade. She made me wonderful red ruffly dresses for holidays and took me on many trips even though I often got train or car sick. She cooked like an angel -- always with lots of whipped cream and sugar. She took car of me when Butch and his friends would hit me in the nose with the baseball bat ( they'd only let me be catcher) and she did all this while being dresses up. She always lost her glasses and usually found them on her head. She taught by example. Just tonight I hear myself say, I sound just like Aunt Aggie. She had a profound effect on my life and she will be missed,

This picture of Agnes and Arvid was taken at Christmas, but I don't know what year. There is no date on the back of the picture.

Aunt Agnes and Uncle Arvid lived next door until I was born. I never took it personally that they moved way out to Gig Harbor as soon as I was born. If there was a reason, I'm sure it wasn't me. It must have been my older sisters.
Ag was always welcoming and had a smile, laugh and food. I remember seeing her on Saturdays all dressed up like it was a work day. She was a classy lady. She had the Olsen sense of humor like her brothers.
Recently, in reading my father's (her brother, Robert) memoirs, I came across this memory about when she worked at Montgomery Wards:
"The day my sister, Agnes, threw her pay envelope including the money into the flames of our kitchen stove is still a vivid recollection. I don’t remember if my sister cried, but she was entitled to. The only thing to be saved was the fifty cent piece. How Agnes happened to throw her pay into the fire was something we could not imagine. She was and is such an efficient and orderly person."
Agnes will be missed. She had an amazing life and gave joy to many. My thoughts are with Evie, Bob, Lynae, Lorene and Pam.

Bob and Evie your mom and dad were so special I always looked forward to dinner at their house and when they would come to ours. They were such good friends to mom and dad (Moe and Ken Hilliard). Your mom will be truly missed but I know she is in a much better place.

I have so many wonderful memories of Agnes I hardly know where to begin. My mother, Evelyn Milliron, who passed away in 1996, was one of Agnes Jensen's very best friends. Agnes and Arvid would come for dinner at their house many times and we would have wonderful visits. I remember one time when they came, my mother made a strawberry shortcake. After she made it, she served it up in little bowls. Then, she gave it to Agnes and Arvid. All through the meal, she kept saying, "Don't eat that strawberry shortcake. It might give you a heart attack." My father, Jay Milliron, who was sitting at the table, said to Evelyn, "Will you be quiet and let them enjoy the shortcake you made for them." I didn't say a word. -- Agnes and Arvid lived on the same street as my parents. There were only three houses that separated their house from Jensen's house. I remember one time going to their house for dinner. I was only about eight years old. Agnes made mashed potatoes. I went to serve up the potatoes and missed the plate. The potatoes went on the table. Agnes came and cleaned it up. After the meal started, I said, "Is this all we have to eat?" Everyone looked at me funny and someone said, "Yes. Be quiet and eat your dinner." -- Agnes was a very special lady. She named her daughter after my mother, so they could both share the same name. -- I could go on and on and on about the wonderful person we found in Agnes. -- I would like to send my condolences to the Jensen family. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
