Betty Jean Arrowsmith Betty was born November 26, 1926 in Ogden, Utah to Robert and Daisy Minnoch and was the youngest of their six children. She passed away May 14, 2014 in Tacoma, WA after an extended illness. On May 2nd, 1948 she married Robert Arrowsmith. They celebrated 42 years of marriage together before his passing on December 7th, 1990. Together, with love, they raised three children and shared years of wonderful memories. They could often be found fishing, golfing, and traveling around the world. While living in Tacoma, Betty worked for Allied Paper Company and spent 25 years at Allenmore Hospital in many capacities. After retirement, she became very active volunteering for the University Place Sheriff's Department and Widowed Information and Consultation Service (WICS). She loved her years serving as an officer for WICS and pursued additional training to provide widows counseling. For the past 20 years she attended Life Center Church. Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert Arrowsmith, and her son, Robert Arrowsmith Jr. She is survived by her daughters Christine Hartman (Tim), Cathy Lynn Florenzen (John), and her daughter-in-law Roberta Arrowsmith. In addition, she is survived by her 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
