Jeff, Greg, Jenni and Andrew,
You know how much I loved your mom and dad! They were like second parents to me; especially on those weekends when I would come to my 'second home' from Western. I feel so blessed to have been a part of your family for so many years. We all had such fun together, didn't we? Hang on to those wonderful memories and return to them when you are having a hard day. The Lord will take good care of y'all. Love you lots! Jane :)

Uncle Dave gave me a very unique college graduation gift: a ROCK with a piece of DRIED SEAWEED attached to it, and the words "HOLD FAST, II Tim. 1:13" painted in yellow on it. (Seriously, look up HOLDFAST on Wikipedia.) The message? Anchor yourself to JESUS THE ROCK, in order to weather the tides of life...so thankful for his practical lessons!

Dear Jeff, Jenny, Greg, Andrew and Daniel,
Several years ago during a visit to WA, I met your mom and dad. When I first saw Dave, I was amazed at how much he resembled his dad, Clarence, who I remembered as a child. It was not long before I felt their loving kindness, and noticed brother Dave's brilliant mind. They both are now and will be greatly missed, until we meet again in glory. I rejoice in the testimony to God's grace and love they are remembered by, and the comfort in knowing Dave and Vauna are together with the Lord Jesus. "Father, I will that they also whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory..." John 17:24.

"A brother beloved" indeed(Philemon verse 16) The short time we knew dear Dave and Vauna(since we didn't move here till May 2009)was a real blessing to us! We looked up to them like a father and mother. They both were so thoughtful and kind and showed an example of how to walk with the Lord,in love with each other, and the love they also did show forth to all!
Dear Vauna has been MUCH missed, and our dear brother, Dave, will be missed too(already is), and even more so with his ministry now silent here. So thankful we have that blessed hope of going to be with our Lord Jesus Christ soon too! Prayers are especially going up for the family now, but we all need it too!

What a dear Christian man your dad is, Jenni and family. He is so intelligent and carries himself with such dignity. (He's going to have such a fabulous time getting to know God more and exploring and learning more about His creations and ways!) And yet he is such a humble man with a great love for Jesus. I am grateful that he did not suffer, and so grateful that he is with the Lord and your mom now. Such a gentle man-and he will be very much missed this side of Heaven. As I told him when your mom passed away, "It will seem like a long time before you see her again, but in light of eternity, it won't really be that long." It won't be that long for us, either. You are all in David's and my prayers!

The Lord through Dave got me my first job at Boeing in l961. He bypassed the personnel office, introduced me to the Flight Instrumentation Group Manager and said, "Put this fellow to work" and then turned and walked out. I have enjoyed him immensely for the past 50 years. He was a godly brother and full of wisdom. I will miss him.

I have had the greatest admiration for him mostly because he encouraged young "Men Of God" Thank you for passing the "Word of God" on to them in word and deed!

I enjoyed Dave's essays on any subject and honored when he would mail me one. He and my mom, Mary Rochat, had a tender spot in their hearts for each other. He was 10 years younger and appreciated Mary Groth's including him in YP activities in Pasadena/Sierra Madre. Lunden's are special friends for 4 generations.

Dear Jenni and Dan, I never knew your Dad or Mom real well, but from this verse I believe they are well described. From Galatians 5-22;23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
