DALE SHERMAN

Pastor Dale Sherman Passed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 19, 2011 in Tacoma, WA. He was born in Monterey Park, CA to Ralph and Eleanor (Cadwallader) Sherman. In 1955 Dale married his sweetheart, Ruth Hoos, and in 1958 he graduated from Biola University. Immediately after graduation Dale and Ruth were called to Machias, WA to pastor their first church with Village Missions. In coming years he served as Pastor to Long Creek, OR, Burley, WA, Valley Ford, WA, Oro Grande, CA and in Coarsegold, CA. In semi-retirement he once again was called to Burley Bible Church, where he served as Shepherding Pastor till his homegoing. Preceded in death by eldest son Benjamin. Survivors include wife Ruth of Burley; (Lori) Sherman of Lakeside, CA, widow of Ben; sons, Michael (Judy) Sherman of Graham and Timothy (Shelley) Sherman of Marysville; daughter Grace (Bryan) McGinnis of Temecula, CA; grandchildren Hannah Sherman, Sarah (Aaron) McHugh, Lee and Alex Sherman, Cindy, John and David Sherman, Andrew and Stephen Sherman, and Jennifer and Emily McGinnis; great-grandchildren, Kayden McHugh and Willow Williams-Sherman. A celebration of his life and ministry will be held at 3 PM Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Burley Bible Church. Burial will be at Haven of Rest at Gig Harbor.
