Ward, Jeff, and Doug,
How sorry I am to hear of Diane's passing. The memories of her beautiful voice and time spent together will never fade. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Very sorry to hear of Diane's passing. As a former student, I always enjoyed her enthusiasm for music. She selected me to be part of the All-City choir back in 1975. She was a very nice lady and well liked by all of her students. She will be greatly missed.

Ward, Linda, Jeff, Doug & Families,
My mother, Kathryn Polky, was very saddened to read of Diane's passing in the paper. My mother has fond memories of fun times spent with Diane at Merrill Gardens Tacoma where they met. She will always remember and appreciate how kind and giving Diane was.
I also appreciate the time she spent with my Mom and her kindness towards her.

To Linda, Jeff and Doug:
I was saddened to hear of Diney's death. Your grandparents (to Jeff and Doug) and my parents were good friends Linda knows who I am (since Linda was only 2 years younger than I) But Jeff and Doug do not remember me (as I discovered at George's memorial service) I lived not very far from George and Sara Jane's place. When I would walk by from school, Jeff would stand and wait at the window for me to come by I remember your mother having a wonderful singing voice. And I remember the love your grandparent's had for you. Diney is gone much too soon.

Dear femily of Diney,
"Diney" and I were close friends from 3rd grade, when I moved to Puyallup, through ouf school years. We were bridesmaids for each other (I for Diane's marriage.) I have been sorry we lost touch. But I treasure the memories of riding bikes, going to the fair, singing in school choirs, slumber parties. Her parents welcomed me as a daughter, and I loved being part of the family.
Linda, I remember watching you grow up, as the little sister. And the last time I saw Diney, over 15 years ago, she spoke with pride about you.
My thoughts are with you at this tiime of sorrow. I have lost part of my childhood with her death.

Dear Jeff and Doug,
Your mother was a wonderful music teacher, a strong supporter of TEA, and a great advocate for Tacoma teachers.. My instant impression is of a strong willed woman dramatically holding a cigarette holder as she voiced her opinion at BR meetings. She was also a great parent. You two boys turned out to be successful and loving sons.. Your mom always liked a party. It is fitting you are giving one in her honor. Sincerely, Jim and Jill Ann Shea
