I wish to extend my sympathies to Don's family. Over the years I knew Don to be loyal to his friends, a man who's hand shake you could trust and a respected craftsman. He will be missed by all those he called friend.

I was totally shocked when I showed up at Allenmore to play golf and heard about Don. I played a lot of golf with Don over the last twenty years and will miss his lob shot around the greens. Monty L.

So Sad to hear of Smitty's passing. What a great friend he was to me. We grew up together. From 1st grade at Horace Mann. through Stewart & Lincoln. We crossed paths many times over the years always greeting each other warmly and remembering our youth. Loved playing golf with him. He was quite a stick. A fixture at Allenmore. Will miss you Don. Rest in peace my friend.
