DOROTHY MELTON Obituary

Dorothy Imogene (Jean) Melton Jan. 30, 1923-Feb. 11, 2011 Jean, a loving mother and life-long resident of Puyallup, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2011. She was 88 years young. In 1943 she married John Melton Sr. and raised four sons. She worked many years for the Puyallup School District in Food Services. Jean was preceded in death by her sons Ray and Mark. She is survived by sons John Melton Jr. (Penny) of University Place, Wayne Melton (Mary) of Edgewood, 10 grandchildren, and 18 great -grandchildren, as well as her devoted nieces Joann Huffman and Terri Reynolds. Mom was a caring and loving person with a warm heart. She leaves behind many close friends. Many thanks to the staff at Edgewood Manor AFH for their loving care of our mother. A memorial service will be held at Puyallup Nazarene Church on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 2:00 PM. The church is located at 1026 7th Avenue Southwest, Puyallup WA 98371.

I remember Jean so well from Puyallup First Assembly church. She was a real sweetheart. I am in Texas now, so will not be attending her services, but wanted you to know how she was loved by friends.
