Edmond Earl Dunn

Edmond Earl Dunn Of Tacoma, Washington, passed on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at St Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma. The son of the late Hezekiah Dunn Sr and Ethel Clark Dunn was born May 5, 1928 in Tuscaloosa, AL. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1968. He worked for Puget Sound National Bank for 22 years before retiring in 1992. He accepted Jesus Christ as his savior in 1939 and was a member of the New Apostolic Church. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #142 and American Legion post #222, Tacoma Urban League, past president of the Parkland Business Club, and past member of several other local organizations. After retiring from the bank he spent most of his time as a volunteer for the Red Cross at the Tillicum Community Center. Edmond was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a beloved brother. He was predeceased by his wife Lina Dunn and two brothers, Tollie Dunn and Hezekiah Dunn Jr. Edmond is survived by his three sons, Edmond M. Dunn, Moline, IL, Harold Dunn, Kirkland, WA, and Thomas Dunn and wife Elizabeth, Kihei, HI; three grandchildren, Nathan Dunn and wife Chelly, Lakenheath, England, Alysha Parker, Caldwell, ID, and Shannon Else and husband Austin, Spokane, WA; one brother, Robert Lee Dunn, Los Angeles, CA; two sisters, Elizabeth Dunn and Rev. Mary Dunn-Lyles of Loch Sheldrake, NY; four sisters-in-law, Mary Dunn, Mobile, AL, Mildred Dunn and Ernestine Dunn, Tuscaloosa, AL, and Bernice Dunn, Gardena, CA; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
