Eunice Brodde Obituary

Eunice Rae Hiestand Brodde Eunice R. Brodde passed away peacefully at Clearbrook Inn in Silverdale on April 20, 2011. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ed Brodde, who she met and married in Gig Harbor after she retired. Eunice loved to travel and made many trips to exotic places as well as taking many cruises. If she wasn't traveling, Eunice was dancing or singing, having been a Sweet Adeline. Eunice was a breast cancer survivor and assisted others through her participation in Reach to Recovery. Born in Grand Forks, ND to Ethel and Floyd Hiestand on June 23, 1925, Eunice was an identical twin. She is survived by her twin sister, Evelyn Tyler (Bill), who lives in Seattle. She is also survived by her niece, friend and advocate Jamie Hiestand Stevens (Barry) of Kingston, as well as her twin's children Kathryn Michalski (Randy), their daughters Teresa Ryan (Brent) and Wendy; Debra Nelson,(Deeg) and family, and Mark Tyler (Linda), children Jesse and Amanda. Celebration of Eunice's life will be held at Clearbrook Inn, 12295 Schold Place NW, Silverdale, on May 15, 2011 at 3:00pm. Memorial donations can be made to Saint Antony of Egypt Episcopal Church, PO Box 2822, Silverdale, WA 98383, or the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
