FRANK KLEIN Obituary

Frank S. Klein Age 88, born on the family farm, Verendrye North Dakota, the 6th of 11 children, to Sebastian and Barbara Klein; died, Palm Desert CA., December 22, 2010. After WWII, Frank, warm and caring, and Lucille Hankel, happy and gentle, fell deeply in love and married in 1947. The two farmed in ND and later moved to Washington where they and their 7 children lived in the Kent area for 47 years. There, Frank became a Marine Engineer and was a member of Operating Engineers Union #302 for over 50 years. In 1954 Frank, baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, joyfully responding to Jesus' command to preach the good news of God's kingdom, helped others gain the hope he cherished; sharing it on every occasion. He spent decades serving as a congregation elder where he was best known to be an avid Bible student and teacher, a hardworking, selfless and dedicated family man. As a result, he was especially approachable and deeply respected, yet humble. He was a talented craftsman, handyman and carpenter, an accomplished mechanic and beautifully creative writer. Humorous and smiling he enjoyed people, working on projects, steam trains, fishing, baseball, old farm equipment and nature. Frank is preceded in death by son, Gregory and survived by his beloved wife Lucille of Palm Desert, CA., brother, Joe (Evelyn) of Minot, ND., children, Susan (Robert) Roslie of Gig Harbor, WA., Klell (Marsha) of Phoenix, AZ., Jeffery (Jacqueline) of Surprise, AZ., Dean of Denver CO., Lori (Rick) McKell of Palm Desert, CA., Cheryl (James) Waldroop of Puyallup, WA., and daughter-in-law, Alicia of Auburn, WA., 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great- great-grandchildren. Frank's family and friends love him dearly and look forward to greeting him in paradise in God's promised resurrection. John 5:28-29, Psalms 37:29. Memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, February 5th, Todd Beamer High School great hall, Federal Way, WA.

Frank has been a part of my life since I met him and Lucille when they called on my parents when I was 16yrs old. What a faithful brother and who to me was the spiritual father that I never had. Jehovah truly used him and will certainly remember him in the resurrection to come soon. My sincere love to the whole Klein family.

Daddy, if you only knew how much we miss you! You brought so much joy to our lives. Though you sleep in death now, it is such a great comfort to Momma and I to know that we will see you again during the resurrection. What a happy day that will be for all of us.! Thank you for teaching me the truth and the wonderful provisions God has in store for all of us ahead. Love, Lori Lynn
