Iva M. Ostrom

Iva M. Ostrom Born Iva Maxine Benski on March 27, 1926 in Raymond, WA, Iva lived 66 years of her life in Elbe and died peacefully in her sleep at Eatonville Manor on Saturday, March 12, 2011. She and her husband Al, who preceded her in death, owned and operated the A & M Caf in Elbe for many years. Iva also worked at Moore's in Ashford, the Scale Shack, and Copper Creek Inn. Preparing food and serving it to those who enjoyed her culinary skills was more than a career, it was a labor of love. Iva is survived by her children, Paulette (Bill) Gilliardi of Elbe, Rick Hall of Olympia, Bob (Suzie) Ostrom of Eatonville, and Swede (Shawn) Ostrom of Eatonville, eight grandchildren, four great grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Guggenbickler of Raymond. A memorial celebration is planned for Sunday, March 27, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Mt Rainier Lions Hall in Ashford.
