Though I did not know Major General Jack Gamble, my father served under Major General Jack Gamble at Fort Lee, Virginia. My father was a fellow pilot, though in the U.S. Navy.
My father soooo enjoyed his time working with General Gamble. And it should be known that General Gamble set a very positive tone on the base during a very difficult time.
May your memories and love for your father give you peace and solace.
