JAMES LOUKIDES Obituary

James Loukides "The Greek" passed away on Jan. 28, 2011 at the age of 81. Born in Nashua, NH on Sept. 17, 1929. He was 1 of 10 children. He joined the Army in the summer of 1947 and retired in Dec. of 1969. He then was employed by Tacoma City Light and retired with a medical disability. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening and the ponies. A lifetime member of the VFW. He is survived by 5 children, 12 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Services will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery on February 9, 2011 at 2:15 pm. A reception in his honor will be held after the ceremony at VFW Post, 10018 4741 N. Baltimore St. Tacoma, WA 98407 (253) 759-0817. Donations may be made to VFW Post 10018 in his honor. Please go to yahnandson.com for more info.

You were such a wonderful friend to my Mom. I always enjoyed seeing the neat things you'd send to her in the mail.

OH JIM, I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOUR SON'S NUMBER WHEN YOUR PHONE WAS DISCONNECTED. WE JUST LOST ART OLSON TOO .....TWO OF MY DEAREST FRIENDS FOR SO MANY YEARS GONE NOW. WISH I COULD HAVE TALKED TO YOU MORE OFTEN. WILL CHERISH ALL THE SEEDS AND PLANTS YOU SENT ME AND I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU. THANKS FOR ALL THE MEMORIES FROM OUT AT KEY CTR. I WILL MISS OUR TALKS.
