Stephen James O'Brien (Jim) 12/16/26 - 8/18/14 Jim O'Brien was born and raised in Tacoma, WA, and lived for over 30 years in Gig Harbor. He resided at The Lodge at Mallard's Landing for the past 4 years, where he had many dear friends. Jim was a lot of fun to be around, had an infectious sense of humor, and was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. Jim is survived by his children Susan, Terry, and Jeff, 5 grandchildren, Jeff (Jessie), Rory, Ashley (Heather), Amy, and Andy, and 5 great-grandchildren, Ryder, Nathan, Ella, Henry and Logan, as well as many loving friends and family members. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy A. O'Brien. He was laid to rest in a private service at Tahoma National Cemetery. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held in late October. The family wishes to thank Dr. Stephen Kramp, the entire staff at the Lodge at Mallard's Landing for their wonderful care, and the medical and nursing staff at St. Anthony's Hospital.
