JAMES POTTER Obituary

James C. Potter 1938-2011 Born a twin in 1938 to Lawrence C. and Beatrice Bible Potter. His father liked to say that Jim's nose was born, and he grew on. Survived by wife of 35 years Julie Potter Marx, daughters Danae and son (in-law) Graham Johnson and Deborah Potter, Ferndale, WA; grandsons Leland and Jude. Gardener, fisherman, hunter, ancient history buff, Jim loved opera, classical music at St. Paul's in Bellingham, and tenors. A great cook and host, he's remembered fondly by his daughters as a worry-wart, punctual to a fault, and for his sense of the ridiculous including the Musky-toe Song. Family and friends were Jim's world; he is survived by many cherished friends, all closely connected due to his famous sense of humor. Graduate of University of California-Long Beach and Western Washington University. Many thanks to all who truly cared for Jim at Park Rose; at St Joseph Medical Center, Units 7D and 5D; love and gratitude to Rebecca Whitmire and special friends Fran and Betty. Jim died peacefully Jan 5, 2011. He is free.
