To the Holt family- I was blessed to have gotten to know Jean. I only wished I could have met her in her younger years. What a joy she must have been. She made each and every day on the job a fun place to be. We shared lunch together every day and laughed so hard sometimes we cried. She had an infectious smile and her eyes twinkled. She truly had a wonderful sense of humor and yes a little bit of a temper too! I hope you find comfort knowing that Jean touched a lot of lives at Heartwood and she will never be forgotten to those of us that loved her.

To all of the Holt family. Know you are in our thoughts and prayers as you say goodbye to your beloved Jean. I have lots of memories mostly of the mid 60's. Being a roomate with Sheri and spending times with the family as we worked our way through our highschool days. Love, Max and Steve Ellis

Growing up, whenever I had to stay home from school, It never failed, Auntie Jean would call and check on me to see how I was doing…I think there must have been a “Mom code” or something because I never had any idea how she knew I was sick. Jeanie always treated me as one of her own…It was like having two Moms…If ever we went to visit Jean and Bob, I always felt like it was going to be a happy day…I will always remember how she smiled and squinted her eyes when she called me “Ding”…We all loved to tease Auntie Jean…I remember Mary Whipple and Chrissy and the song they made up about how Jeanie refused to feed the pigs, because Uncle Bob took us all to Packwood Lake instead of staying home to paint the house…Memories of Jeanie will always bring a smile to my face…We are all very blessed people and better humans for having known her…I love you Auntie Jean

Nature
As a fond mother, when the day is o'er,
Leads by the hand her little child to bed,
Half willing, half reluctant to be led,
And leave his broken playthings on the floor,
Still gazing at them through the open door,
Nor wholly reassured and comforted
By promises of others in their stead,
Which, though more splendid, may not please him more;
So Nature deals with us, and takes away
Our playthings one by one, and by the hand
Leads us to rest so gently, that we go
Scarce knowing if we wish to go or stay,
Being too full of sleep to understand
How far the unknown transcends the what we know.

To the Holt family - my deepest sympathy and prayers are with you all. I went to school with Becky and your mom was the sweetest lady. May your memories of all the good times bring you much peace and comfort. Know that others care...
