JESSE DUNSCOMB Obituary

IN LOVING MEMORY Jesse H. Dunscomb Passed away peacefully in his home in Puyallup, WA Feb. 12, 2010 at the age of 86. He served his country in the Marine Corps for 20 years and retired in 1962. He later worked as a bartender and then retired from Boeing. Jesse loved being a family man, and together with his wife Nancy (Roper) they raised 3 children: Cindy Wetzel (Monte), John Dunscomb (Nancy) and Claudia Morlan (Garvin). He was also blessed with 6 grandchildren: Jacquelyn, Courtney, Jessica, Amanda, Nicholas and Heather, who will miss him dearly, along with his only great-grandchild, Kellen. Jesse was born in Cadillac, Michigan to Jesse E. and Laura Belle Dunscomb in 1924. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Gene S. and John H. Dunscomb. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, sisters Claudia Casey and Diane Rose, and brothers Bruce Dunscomb and Tom Cline. Jesse was very active in the Kent and Lacey Lions Clubs before moving to Puyallup in his later years. He loved shopping at the Ft. Lewis Commissary, and we would like to thank the young service men that stopped to shake his hand and chat with him. We commend you for your service as well as the kindness and respect shown to an old Marine. John and Claudia would especially like to thank their sister Cindy and her family for providing Mom and Dad with a safe and loving home for Dad's final few years. We know it meant the world to him to have his family near. Services for Jesse will be at Tahoma National Cemetery on Monday, Feb. 28th, 2011 at 12:45 with a gathering to follow at his home in Puyallup.
