JOHN REMY Obituary

John William Remy Jr. John was born in Burlington, KS on March 15, 1928 to John and Mildred Remy. He joined our Heavenly Father on February 6, 2011. As a young man he assisted in his dad's grocery store. As he got older, he drove pigs and cattle to local slaughterhouses. He joined the Army Air Force in 1946. When the services split, he went Air Force and specialized in food services and radar until retiring in 1967. After retiring he went to work for Safeway, where he worked for 32 years. He leaves behind his loving wife Marlan, his children Tom (Cornelia) Remy, John (Sheri) Remy, and Donald (Nancy) Remy; his stepchildren David Stockton and Matthew Stockton (Elizabeth); his grandchildren Nicole Remy, John Remy, Michael Remy, Jacob Remy and Brandon Atchison; his brother Walter (Elnora) Remy; and his nephew Gary Remy. John loved life and adventure! The family he adored was everything to him. He loved traveling, fishing, working on his model railroad, woodworking, food, reading and sports. He will be missed by all who loved him. Services will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery February 17, 2011, 10am. In his memory donations can be made to Franciscan Hospice House, University Place, WA.

Marian,
I was deeply saddened to hear of John's passing.. Words just cannot express my heartfelt condolences. I'm glad I was able to meet the "Love of Your Life"! May God continue to uphold you during this difficult transition. I will keep you, and your family, in my prayers. May ALL of the Beautiful Memories, and the LOVE John had for you, bring you solace in the days ahead.

Your dad was always nice to me and liked to visit with my folks when they met him at the store. Sorry to hear of your loss but find comfort in your memories of your him.
