Our sincere condolences to all of Joy's family. She spoke of you often and was a proud mother and grandmother. Our association with Joy started about 50 years ago at church when Tim and I were in the same confirmation class. Then Jackie and Dawn were in confirmation together. Our mother, Gladys, and Joy became good friends. Over the years, they worked together at Weyerhaeuser, went camping, attended parties and events, adventured out on Discovery tours, attended X-W Club lunches, and even went river rafting. After Tacoma Musical Playhouse performances, we would often go out to dinner and catch up on each other's lives. The last time I saw Joy, she was vibrant as always. We were shocked to learn of her passing. She will be missed. We send our family's love and are grateful for her friendship.

To my baseball Aunt, It will be a hard season without you. I will cherish forever the ball games that we went to over the last few years. What a pleasure to get to know you and I will miss our long talks. Passing Cheney stadium now feels so sad, however there are only good memories for me with you at that ballpark. Say hello to everyone in heaven. I hope you are all having a great party together. I love you very much Aunt Joy and my heart is broken that you are gone. Tim and Dawn my thoughts have been with you everyday and maybe we can all see a ball game together this summer.
With all my love, Michelle
