Kathy Hunt Obituary

Kathy "Elaine" Hunt Passed into the Spirit World on Easter April 24, 2011 at the young age of 60. She resided in Tacoma and passed with a huge smile on her face in Toppinish, Wa. Elaine loved playing cards, pool, doing puzzles & crosswords, was a green thumb, rode horses as a child. Elaine was a proud Native American, The great granddaughter of the Shaman Chief Jake Hunt who founded the Feather Religion; her son Joe and daughter Maria witnessed this Religions spirits and blessings work through their mom's mind, body and spirit. Her survivors include daughters: Maria Welch, Raquel Welch, Sabrina Schon; sons, Ronald Carpenter, Joseph Lund; 3 brothers; 3 sisters and 5 grandchildren. She was buried in her family's cemetery in Husum, Wa on March 27th. Service in Tacoma will be arranged. Please email Huntceremony @aol.com

I first met Elaine at O'Malleys while bartending,she would come in and play pool(pretty good at times)So I have known her about 15 yrs,she would stop by my place and have a beer and talk,we also knew her from the Home Plate taveren,she'll be greatly missed.she was a very honest person and would do anything for you if possibe,I'll miss her......Sue kapfhammer

Dear Maria, i am so sorry for your loss. I will never forget your mom. She was something else! You rarely find such a wonderful person like her. The kind that would give you the shirt off there back no matter how bad things are going. She will always be a true warrior in my book. She will be very missed. God Bless you and the family.
