LOIS REES Obituary

Lois Hellen Rees Was born on April 1, 1921 in Superior, WI to Andrew and Mildred Egman. After a full and rewarding life of almost ninety years, she passed away peacefully on February 9, 2011 in Olympia, WA. Shortly after graduating from Fife High School in 1939, Lois married Earl Rees. The first half of their 61 years together they lived in Fife where, she directed and sang in the choir at Fife Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Ladies' Musical Club in Tacoma. In the 1970's they moved to their beloved beach property near Olympia. It was at "The Beach" that Lois became known for hosting gatherings for family, neighbors, and friends. The 4th of July and Labor Day parties were always special. Lois is survived by three children, Dale (Marla) Rees, Wayne (Sandy) Rees, and Sue (Larry) Beagley; nine grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Earl, their son Lynn Rees, and her brother Lowell Egman. There will be a celebration of life on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 1pm in the Mountain View Garden Chapel, Lakewood, WA (visitation from Noon to 8:30 PM on Monday).

A generous woman and the matriarch of the family. I've enjoyed seeing you laugh, and enjoy life. Grandma Lois will be remembered.
