Michelle Susan McKim and Shantell Kymony Duncan obituary

Michelle Duncan Obituary

Michelle Susan McKim, age 40 Shantell Kymony Duncan, age 2 Tragically taken too soon in a horrible accident. Michelle, born October 20, 1970 was fun loving, had a big heart, was always willing to help friends and strangers, and had a wicked sense of humor. Her greatest joy was her children. Shantell, born August 20, 2008, was a bright, energetic, sweet little guy with dimples as cute as could be and a smile that brought joy to our hearts. Michelle is survived by son Kelley McKim, father Kevin McKim, mother Marilyn (Pete) Christensen, sister Kerry (Jonathan) McAllister and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Shantell will be missed and greived by his father Shantell Duncan, grandfather Ernest L. Duncan Sr., and family. Our hearts are broken with our loss but we know they are with others who love them. Memorial at St. Leo's Church, June 7, 2011 at 12:10, with a gathering following.

To Shantell Sr., Min. Ernest Duncan, Sr. & Family of Michelle... I am truly sorry to hear of the loss of Michelle and little Shantell, Jr. Seems like it was just 4 or 5 months ago that we celebrated his birth and now we mourn the loss of them both. Remember to hold tight those memories and let them be your source of comfort, along with the word of God that declares, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comet in the morning."[Psalms 30:5 KJV]

I am here for you, should you ever need a shoulder to cry on or simply and ear to listen. As always...I Love you All. Evang. Debbie L. Parker, of Phoenix, AZ. (formerly of Tacoma, WA.) [email protected]

Michelle was unstoppable once she put her mind to something. She was very much an individual, very sharp and quick. She was a leader, funny and compassionate. If there is any such thing as an old soul, she was one. Her eyes revealed wisdom and courage of another day. I remember her oldest son Kelley as a baby. I am happy to know him as a bright young man today. I remember going out to eat with the two of them and they seemed like the best of friends. We laughed a lot. I will miss the times I spent with Michelle. We would have theoretical type discussions about life and I was often surprised about how she could put a positive twist on any situation. Michelle was her Dad's kid in so many ways. They were two peas in a pod. My heart goes out to the family. God bless you all. May you find light, love and comfort. Love, Megan

My family sends our deepest condolences to the surviving family members. On our way to taking our children to school, we often ride our bikes down South Puget Sound Avenue. We have noticed this family in front of their house and have smiled and said hello as we passed by. Even though we didn't know you, you were part of our community.
