Mildred Cooley Obituary

Mildred Ann Cooley Of Tacoma, WA, born August 20, 1932 to Arthur and Bernice Hutton in Roy, WA. She peacefully left us May 4, 2011 at age 78. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, older brother Donald Hutton and 2nd daughter Millie (Jim) Schaefer. Surviving are her loving husband Gene of 42 years, younger sister Eileen Rochester, six children, Maureen Kiely, Mary (George) Wolford, John (Kat) Kiely, Maurice (Candice) Kiely, Keith (Chris) Kiely, & Eileen (Virgil) Dawkins, 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. 'Millie' assisted her husband Gene operating the family business of Cooley's Custom Flooring. Her greatest passion was raising her children, spending time with her grandchildren and crocheting. She was loving and selfless, always put her children's needs and safety before her own. Her many friends and family always enjoyed her witty sense of humor and her glowing smile. She created many memories that will be passed on for generations to come. She will be greatly missed by the many that loved her and always will. A special thanks to the Hospice House and their staff (Sydney) for taking care of our mom. Celebration of Millie's life will be on May 15th, from 2-6 pm at the AMVETS Hall on 56th & Tyler. Donations only can be made to the: Franciscan Hospice House, 2901 Bridgeport Way. See www.edwardsmemorial.com
