MORRIS SNYDER Obituary

Morris A. "Bud" Snyder Morris A. "Bud" Snyder passed away on Feb. 11, 2011 with his children at his side. Born May 11, 1925 in Gig Harbor, WA to George E. Snyder and Ada Mae Rhodes, he was a longshoreman of 33 years with Local 23. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gambling, and junking. Our image of Dad was a 10-foot-tall, gentle, caring and loving father. Preceding him in death were his parents, wives Betty and Bev, brothers Leroy Snyder and Frank, John and Richard Collier, and grandchildren Randy, Karri and Charles. He is survived by his children Dixie (John), WA, Linda, WA, Nancy (Tim),MN, LeAnne, OK, Steve, WA, and Cindy (Steve), WA, sisters; Bernice and Vita, 18 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Our special thanks to his superb caregivers Regina, Sam, Raymo, and the 2 little prunes of Gravelly Lake AFH. A Celebration of Life will be Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, 1:00PM, at the Puyallup Eagles. In his memory donations may be made to Gravelly Lake AFH, 11502 Gravelly Lake Dr. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499.

Daddy,I Remember when you used to call me by my nick name and all the fun times we had junkin togeather.I'll never forget whe you too all to Montana and i had Rock candy for the first time.We went to Uncle Pat's and he had a horse and we were by a awesome river.I will always remember the good times we had' even our just us special moment at the casino gathering a huge crowd around the $1 slot machine, we were winning our Butts off.Thanks Dad,Love Sasberella(CINDY)

Growing up in Milton Betty and Bud were always my family away from home when I was young. Their hospitality and sharing were never in question, no matter when. My sympathies, thoughts and prayers go to all of the families and friends he touched.
