Mr. Borell was my gym teacher at Stadium. He was respected by by both students and faculty alike. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family and many friends.

To the Borell family, Norm was a very dear friend and a tremendous military Officer, public school teacher and a great gymnastics coach.
Peace be with you and thank God for the life of Norm.
We had some wonderful 2 weeks of Reserve military training together.

So sorry to hear of Coach Borell's passing. He was quite a mentor to me as one of his gymnasts. He brought me down from Jason Lee as a ninth grader, fought for my eligibilty as a "freshman" against King County schools and as such I was the first 4 year letterman in Tacoma Public School history. He was a good man. My condolences to the family. Aloha
