Patricia Djarf Obituary

Patricia Anne Djarf Patricia Anne Dodd was born May 20, 1928 to Harvey W. Dodd and Mae Cooper Dodd in South Bend, Washington, and died on May 5, 2011 in Bellingham after a brief illness. Pat graduated from Puyallup High School, and attended WWU for a few quarters. She married Clifford Djarf, her high-school sweetheart, and they raised three daughters while working, building houses, square dancing, and enjoying their extended family in the Seattle/Tacoma area. Pat pioneered equal pay for equal work for women during her 22 years with the Auburn Police Department. After retirement, she and Cliff spent springs and summers on San Juan Island and winters in Yuma, Arizona. Her husband Clifford N. Djarf and her sister Gail Nordstrom survive her, as well as daughters Raelynn Richardson (Tom), Janice Elaynn Djarf, and Meredith Radford (Richard), and five grandchildren. An announcement of a celebration of Pat's life, to be held in Kirkland in July, will follow at a later date.
