Pearl was a great example to all of us on how to serve God. She loved God and walked in the word. I met her about 3 years ago when I asked God to send me some Christians in my life and 2 weeks later I found a website of my long lost relatives and met her one month later. I felt like I knew her all my life she was the sweetest lady ever. I was blessed by having known her. I will miss her. With thanks to God for sending her to me. Now she is home with her heavenly Father. Love Sylvia and Tom

Pearl is a gem, a royal diadem now in the hand of the Lord. Her passing will leave a big spiritual void for many. She watched our children starting 28 years ago and it was a joy to watch her interact with the children and for them to think of her as Grandma Pearl! We loved her very much and will thankfully see her again. Fred Swendsen

The Tacoma Seafarers Center Auxiliary will miss Pearl and her words of wisdom that she shared with us at most of our meeting. She was always serving the Lord in everything she did.

My auntie Pearl has been such an inspiration in my life. She always had a kick start she used on you or herself. She never allowed sitting around. She was always "on it" for the Lord in service to you or others. She always asked you about your life, and she only told you about hers when you asked. Boy she made you curious about how things ticked. I asked her once when she was about 98 what was the secret to her healthful life. Since I was interested in healthy food she was eating for breakfast she told me this story. When she was pregnant with her first child, it turned out to be Twins! Well the one was born but the other died in her tummy. The nurse told her to go home and squeeze a lemon in water and drink it and she says "I've been doing it ever since!" She always added a firm exclamation to things she held with conviction. I love her. She is so amazing. I'll be seeing her in heaven some day. What a glorious place! to meet my savior face to face. God bless you Darrel, Gloria, Wayne, Joyce, Roberta, Ronnie, Lorin, Jerry who will sore miss you Pearl but have heaven to look forward to reuniting with their blessed Mom and Pop.
