Raymond Corey Obituary

Raymond Eugene Corey Passed away on April 17, 2011 at the age of 82 with his daughter Linda by his side. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Joan Elarth Corey and leaves behind his sister Dolores Middlekauff, two daughters, Sharon Longstreth and Linda Abe, two grandchildren and great granddaughter. Ray was born in Tacoma WA on July 22, 1928, graduated from Lincoln High School and attended the University of Washington. For many years, Ray was an active member of First Christian Church in Tacoma, acting as a Deacon, Elder and board member. Ray loved outdoor activities, spending many happy weekends camping and hiking; he achieved his goals of summiting Mt. Rainier and other Cascade peaks. After retirement, Ray and Joan travelled, met new people, reconnected with old friends and enjoyed their time together. At Ray's request, no service will be held.
