RICHARD MEDEIROS Obituary
Richard R. "Dick" Medeiros Dick passed away peacefully on March 17, 2011, in University Place, WA. He was born April 19, 1938 in Central Falls, RI to Theresa and Julio Medeiros He started working at the age of 9 at his father's gas station and it was then that a hard working man was born. He then joined the Air Force in 1959 and served 4 years during the Vietnam war as a radio operator. He was stationed at McChord AFB, and spent his remaining years in Tacoma. His passions in life were his family, the YMCA, basketball and being an automobile mechanic. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Donna, daughters, Deidra and Dana, sons-in-law, Trevor, Willie and granddaughters, Camryn and Maizy. He leaves behind brothers, Bob, David, Julio Jr. and sisters, Delores and Carolyn, and numerous relatives in Rhode Island and Illinois. We wish to thank the staff of Auburn Hospital's memory wellness unit and the UP Care Center for their compassionate and loving care of Dick in his final days. A memorial service will be held in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home on Saturday, March 26th at 1:00 PM. Please send donations to the Alzheimer's Association.

Dana and family,
I'm so sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you. I know losing a Dad is a tough one, because there were so many special moments and things that Dads handle that we can always treasure. Bless you for having had him this long, and he's accomplished so much that I know how proud you are of him.

Dear Donna, Deidra and Dana,
Chris and I are so sorry to hear that Dick is no longer with us and know that he cherished his family and friends. We loved playing pinochle with him and enjoying many gatherings together. Please know that you are all in our prayers during this difficult time and that the fond memories we have will be cherished. Our love is extended to you all and when we return from Arizona will give you a call so we can comfort you. We are so sorry we could not be present for the memorial, but please know you were all in our thoughts on Saturday. Love you all,

Donna and family,
