Roy Denton Obituary

Roy Denton JR Roy was born in Paoli IN, in 1942 and passed away May 18, 2011 in Gig Harbor. He was preceded in death by his parents, both of his sons and one of his younger brothers. Roy is survived by his loving wife Sandy, his three daughters Gina, Tonja and Becca Denton, his grandsons Phil & Kyle (wife Tara) Denton and granddaughter Alice Nikole, all of Gig Harbor. Roy has 2 sisters and 3 brothers in the mid-west, as well as numerous family members across the US, whom he loved devotedly. Roy was cremated by Peninsula Cremation Center. His ashes will be spread in the ocean winds, along with his beloved son Nik's ashes, during a private family ceremony. A memorial in celebration of Roy's life will be held June 4, 2011 at Olalla Bible Church 13053 Olalla Valley Rd SE Olalla WA 98359. His father's passing in his teen years began Roy's journey into parenthood, as he assisted his loving mother in raising the siblings he so adored. His belief from that time, until his last breath, was that he was to be the guide, strength and example of love to his beloved family. He achieved this far beyond he could ever have imagined and has left a huge hole in our hearts by his final journey. We rejoice that he resides eternally with Our Father and Savior, grieve for his presence that has been taken from us and look joyously to the day of our great reunion. Donations strongly suggested via Pay pal to [email protected] or by check to Rebecca Denton PO Box 94 Olalla, WA 98359. All donations will be utilized for death expenses and to assist with living expenses for Sandy in this uncertain time.
