THEODORE HANSTAD Obituary

Theodore L. Hanstad "Ted" 1/13/1937 - 1/14/2011 Passed away at home in Morton with the care of Hospice. Ted was born in Tacoma to Otto and Fannie Belle Hanstad. Growing up in Puyallup, he graduated in the class of 1955 from Puyallup High School. He retired in June 1993 from Pierce County River Improvement. He then moved to Morton and built the family home, his second. He enjoyed having large picnics, raising honey bees, and loved trees and gardening. Ted is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlotte, son Richard of Morton, daughters Leslie Murphy of Lake Tapps, Colleen Kimball (Matt) of Puyallup, and Rosalie Hanstad of Blaine, grandsons Shon (Stacy) and Chris (Shawna), granddaughters Trisha and Heather (Luke), great-grandson Jaiden, great-granddaughters Clare and Addison, sister Catherine Gunyan (Robert) of Graham, and many extended family. There will be no services per Ted's wishes.

I just want everyone to remember the good times on the property, it's what he would want. Remember the way he made us laugh with his one of a kind personality and his unique toys and gadgets. There's a little bit of Grandpa in all of us so dont lose what he gave to our hearts.
