TIFFANY KENNARD Obituary

Tiffany Dawn Kennard Beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Tiffany went home to be with her Lord on September 20, 2012. She started her life in Gig Harbor on December 7, 1978. After finishing second grade, our family moved to Southern California where Tiffany quickly became a California Girl. Tiffany touched so many people with her brilliant smile and laughing eyes. She was always positive, facing every obstacle with a smile and can do attitude. We are amazed at the love we've received sharing the blessing that Tiffany was to each. Her smile would light up any room she entered. Tiffany loved exploring new places (especially without a map) and new things. But she really loved to dance. And dance she did, having started ballet lessons in Tacoma when she was four and continuing into college. She first graced the stage as a Bon Bon in Ballet Tacoma's Nutcracker at age 6 and con-tinued to amaze us with her performances into adulthood. She graduated from Capistrano Valley High School with honors and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from U.C. San Diego, graduating cum laude, and elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa. Tiffany received her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Puget Sound. Tiffany waged her battle against brain cancer for 11 1/2 years with deep faith and fierce determination, but with an equal measure of gracious- ness and style. She never complained and always had a smile for her care team. Her love for her family, particularly the "little cousins," was apparent to all who knew her. Tiffany is survived by her parents, Lynn and Bob Kennard; sister Amanda Kennard, grandmother Alta Peacock; aunts and uncles Phyllis and Stuart Hanson, Diane Harkness, Bill Peacock, Wendy and Bob Bates; numerous cousins; god parents, Lita Dawn Stanton, Annamarie and John Ausnes. Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 29th at Believers Fellowship, 4112 Hunt St. NW, Gig Harbor. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the University of Washington Medical Center Neuro-Oncology Division (checks can be made out to UW with Neuro-Oncology noted in memo section) P.O. Box 358045, Seattle, WA 98195-8045, the American Cancer Society or Franciscan Hospice. We wish to express our thanks to the Franciscan Hospice staff who were invaluable in caring for Tiffany and our family during this difficult time.

What a smile she has, I remember playing on the street as kids and spending my whole afternoon with her and family. To say she lit up the room is not enough. She brought a smile to everyone she ran into. I truly think about her all the time and the fun we had as kids.

Dear Lynn, Bob, Amanda, and to all your family members: my thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. I know and understand the grief and sorrow you are feeling. Please know, that although it doesn't feel that way now, the pain that you feel will ease, as time goes by. My deepest sympathy to all of you. Janis (Markovich) Finn
