WILLIAM BULLARD Obituary

William L. Bullard William L. Bullard quietly passed away on Thursday morning, March 10, 2011. Quiet is not an adequate word to describe Bill's life. He was a talker, storyteller, lover of life and laughter. His gang of relatives and friends radiated from him in a continuous ripple of chuckles. Bill grew up embraced by the Manitou Community in Tacoma and graduated from Lincoln High School. He spent a majority of his adult life in University Place, raising his family while pursuing a career at American Lake Veteran's Hospital. He was 92 years old and laughing to the end. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy, two daughters, Janice Stroh (Kevin) and Joan Collins, and four grandchildren, Joseph and MacKenzie Stroh and Meredith and Cheryl Collins. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Grace Bullard, and his sister Anne Rifenrath who passed away last month in Oakland, California. There will be a memorial service at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, where he had been an elder, 909 North J Street, Tacoma, on Saturday, March 19th, 2011 at 10:30 AM. Donations are strongly suggested to the charity of your choice in Bill's name.

I had the great pleasure of knowing "Uncle Bill" a short time, every morning he woke with a smile and always had nice things to say. He often would offer his words of wisdom, and loved to laugh. I feel truly blessed to have known him.
