CHRISTINE BERNARD

Christine Martin Bernard Christine Bernard, age 92 passed away on November 17, 2010. She was born in Mullingar, County West Meath, Ireland and as a young woman moved to London, England where she married and lived through the Blitz of World War II. Christine lived for adventure and she later came to America and settled in Redlands, California where she worked as a nursing assistant for many, many years. Christine loved caring for her elderly patients as well as spending time with her grandchildren. Christine is survived by five children, Melvin Robinson of London, England, Judy Shrive of Birmingham, England, Christine Schmeiske of Gig Harbor, WA, Marisa Trammel of Redlands, CA and Paul Bernard of Gold Hill, Oregon; grandchildren Philip Shrive of Birmingham, England, Louise Shrive of Auckland, New Zealand, Kevin Kiech, Tacoma, WA, Colin Kiech, Tacoma, WA, Christopher Sedivy of Redlands, CA, Brittany Sedivy of Redlands, CA and a great granddaughter Zoe Winn of Redlands, CA. A thank you to the Manor Care staff of Gig Harbor who took excellent care of Christine over this past year and to Franciscan Hospice Care.
