So many great memories with Barb. One of my favorite was our trip to Seattle to see the Sound of Music. We took the bus, had lunch, enjoyed the play and being together. She is greatly missed. Louise and Michael Luberts

Met Barb when she subbed as a librarian at Cedarcrest Middle School. We became quite the chat buddies. And though we did not connect often when I moved on, as did she, I looked forward to the times we did. And we played catch up like no time had passed. I had just left her a message on her VM to plan our next connect day, just a few short weeks before getting the news that she had gone on to glory to receive her crown. I can only imagine how it sparkles with all of the gems she earned for her loving kindness. Love her so!

May God be with you at this difficult time. Your mom was so positive and giving of herself. We shared a love of books, gardening, hiking, and our grandchildren. I'm sure there is a library up in heaven and I'm sure she will be in charge of making sure everyone up there always has enough to read!!!! Will think of her beautiful spirit on the mountain.

I worked for several years with Barb at Cougar Mountain. She was always in positive spirits and willing to assist me in gathering resources for my classes. She was an incredible librarian and asset to the Bethel School District. I enjoyed many talks with her regarding our travels. She was an awesome lady and will be sorely missed! Rest in Peace Dear Lady.

I knew Barb Shadle for over 18 years as the office manager at her dental practice. I looked forward to seeing Barb at dental visits, she always made sure to check in on me and encouraged me as a single parent with young children. As the years went by, I grew up, my children grew up, but when we had the chance we would share stories about life and family. Barb never missed the opportunity to share her faith, her love for her children, and the pride and joy of being a grandparent. She embodied strength, character, integrity, kindness and joy.
Barb, you will be missed by so many, the lives you touched over the years including mine will always be better off to have known you. I am so grateful God allowed our paths to cross, when I think of you, all I can do is remember your bright smile and cheerful heart. You are a good and faithful servant of the Lord and you did your part to serve and honor God with your whole heart.
My sincerest condolences to the family, Kaaryn and Willie- Let me know if I can do anything to help you in your time of need.
Barb until we meet again in Heaven,
With fondest memories, love and honor
Sincerely,
Davilyn

I knew Barb from our time at WWSC. Our paths crossed again when she and Rich came to Bethel, and I was at Thompson. Barb was such a sweet lady, and I know that she will be missed by so many! My sincerest condolences to all the family members and friends she has left behind.

Barb was my elementary librarian. I was lucky to be friends with her daughter, Krista that allowed me to spend more time with the family. Barb had such an impact on me and I will always remember her smile and welcoming personality. You always felt important and accepted with Barb. I have her to thank for my increased love for reading. I am so sad to hear of her passing and my prayers to Krista, and her sisters. Heaven has gained an amazing Angel.
